IBLA is the competence centre for research and advice in the field of organic agriculture and viticulture in Luxembourg. True to its motto "Research for practice", IBLA is not only concerned with research, but also with the rapid transfer of results and knowledge into practice through advice, seminars, field inspections of trials and various up-to-date information brochures.

Farmers need to join forces to become contractable in the value chain. Cooperatives and producer groups have the task of bundling farmers' production. Without such solidarity-based associations, the supply requirements of specialised processors and traders could not be  met;  only very large and specialised farms would survive.
